Contents
Providing a comprehensive review of pricing trends and data,
the WGI Data Source comes in two sections — current data series, and previous data series. This allows you to understand what is currently happening in the industry as well as enabling you to grasp key defining trends that have occurred in the industry since 1990.
Current data series:
- Asian LNG — Monthly average import prices by month in $/ton and $/MMBtu for Japan since 1994, with South Korea, China and Taiwan since 2006-07. Entries currently for up to 15 LNG supplier countries.
- European border price estimates ($/MMBtu plus averages)
- Comparison of LNG exporter netbacks at receiving terminals worldwide
- Spot US and European hub gas and power prices — Prompt values each week by date, point and price, and spark spreads. For European gas, values in $/MMBtu and €/MWh for UK National Balancing Point (NBP) and Belgian Zeebrugge since 2001, Dutch-TTF since 2004.
- North American gas and comparative fuel prices — Pipeline point/city gate; region; comparative fuel prices (spot); bidweek prices
- US and UK gas futures — Nymex futures (monthly contracts and 12-month strip) with similar for ICE's NBP futures contract
Previous data series:
- European end-user prices in local currencies before introduction of the Euro, and from 2002 until early 2009 in eurocents/kWh and in US$/MMBtu for gas and electricity
- North American spot prices — prices at key import points, netbacks to wellhead prices, delivered to pipeline prices, and city gate prices (all $/MMBtu)
- UK spot prices — back to 1996 in pence/therm; date, location, contract, bid and offer prices (including NBP from 1999, Zeebrugge in 2000)
